  • Your glow feels harder to maintain.

Why It Happens

Why Your Skin May Feel Different

As hormones shift throughout life, the skin can begin to look, feel, and respond differently. For many women, this shows up as dryness, sensitivity, dullness, changes in oil production, or a routine that no longer feels as effective.

Hydration

Skin may feel less plump, less comfortable, or more prone to dryness.

Sensitivity

Products that once felt fine may suddenly feel too harsh or irritating.

Radiance

Skin may look dull or tired when it needs more consistent support.

Oil Balance

Some women notice unexpected shine, congestion, or changes in texture.

Resilience

The skin barrier may need a calmer, more nourishing routine.

Common Signs

Does This Sound Familiar?

Hormonal skin changes can show up in different ways. If any of these feel familiar, your skin may be asking for a more supportive routine.

Fine lines appearing more visible

Products no longer working the same way

A Calmer Approach to Skincare for Changing Skin

As hormones shift, your skin can change too. In this short message, Anne shares why she created Pure by Solanne and her belief in a hydration-first approach designed to support women through every stage of life.

A Message From Our Founder

Skincare Should Feel Supportive, Not Overwhelming.

I created Pure by Solanne because I believe skincare should feel simple, honest, and supportive — especially as your skin begins to change.

Now in my 50s, I’ve experienced firsthand how hormonal shifts can affect the way skin looks, feels, and responds. Dryness, sensitivity, dullness, and texture changes can feel frustrating, but they don’t have to make you feel disconnected from your skin.

My goal is to help women better understand what may be happening beneath the surface and build a routine that feels gentle, nourishing, and realistic.

Pure by Solanne is here to support your skin through every stage — with hydration-first care, thoughtful formulas, and a belief that beauty should feel empowering, not overwhelming.

With love,

FAQ

Common Questions About Hormonal Skin

What is hormonal skin?

Hormonal skin refers to changes in the way your skin looks, feels, or responds as hormone levels shift throughout life.

Is this only related to menopause?

No. Hormones can affect the skin at many stages of life, but many women notice more visible changes during perimenopause and menopause.

Can hormones make skin feel more sensitive?

Yes, some women notice their skin feels more reactive, dry, or easily irritated as their skin barrier needs change.

Why does my old skincare routine no longer work?

Your skin’s needs can change over time. A routine that once felt perfect may no longer provide enough hydration, comfort, or support.

Where should I start?

Start simple: a gentle cleanser, a hydrating serum, and a nourishing moisturizer. Consistency matters more than complexity.
